You can explore Byron’s Hinterland by going to the top of it near the lighthouse. This will give you a view of 360 degrees around the Shire. Depending on when you go, there will be light plays and colorful sunsets. The Minyon Falls gives you a different perspective as you look out over the waterfall and the valley filled with palms. You can do a lot of this through hiking and walking around the area.

Just around the corner is the Crystal Castle where you can walk the Buddha Walk and see the statues, giant crystals, a Rainforest Walk and then stroll into the gift shop. Inside you will find many things to purchase to remind you of your trip.

There are many events also that you can experience depending on when you go. In September you will want to attend the Taste of Byron where you fill find all types of food that is served in neighboring restaurants. You will get a chance to taste and participate in cooking classes too. The Bluesfest and Whole Woman Festival will make sure that you get enough music in your soul. There are other programs beyond music at both of these events for everyone to enjoy.
