Nimbin’s ‘famous’ Grey Gum Lodge has been a local and international icon for nearly 30 years, proudly hosting visitors from all over the world.
Built in 1927 – this conveniently located ‘Queenslander’ guest-house has over the years been a café, restaurant, bar, and small resort. Recently refurbished by new owners Darren and Stuart, these days Grey Gum Lodge is a boutique guest-house which provides comfortable, clean, affordable Nimbin guest house accommodation.

All of our rooms have their own bathroom and are furnished to enhance the period character of this grand old building.
With approximately 160,000 tourists visiting our small town annually, there are many quality accommodation options available depending on your budget and preference. However if you would prefer the ambience of a character filled Queenslander style guest-house, with superb views and yet only a few minutes walk to town, Grey Gum Lodge could be the ideal base for your Nimbin and Northern Rivers experience.

2013 is the 40th anniversary of the Aquarius Festival which saw our beautiful town land on the map of the international counter-culture movement back in 1973. Throughout the year there are going to be many celebrations marking this exciting anniversary.

From Cabaret, Art  Exhibitions, Outdoor Concerts, Poetry Slams, Mystic Fairs, Sustainability forums and projects; Nimbin will be buzzing with activity and bursting with pride at the unique place it holds in Australian life.

Back in 1973, little did the Aquarians realise that their intital re-birthing of our beautiful Nimbin would establish the town firmly on the International Tourist Map, and see it become the third most visited place in Australia.

Have you been here yet?…….It gives us here at Grey Gum Lodge a great sense of pride when we host new visitors to the town – which is the heart and soul of the Rainbow Region, just a short distance from Lismore – and observe as they fall in love with the opportunies available here to relax, amuse, indulge, and to be themselves, in a way not always available in the often staid places that they must return home to after their holiday here.

Our accommodation in Nimbin is perfectly located at Too High Street, woops; thats Number 2 High Street Nimbin!
